Hampton’s December best buy mortgages tracker has shown that residential mortgage sales declined whereas buy to let mortgage sales rose.
Hampton’s residential mortgage sales fell by around 23% since December 2006 and buy to let purchases had accounted for 39.53% a rise of almost 23% in December 2006.
It was stated that figures showed a reversal of residential and buy to let mortgages. A prediction was made that tracker mortgages would be more popular in 2008.
